Black Hair to Hot Pink (Manic Panic Hot Hot Pink)

It took 2 lots of bleach, and 2 toners....

but we got there....

(Colour is Manic Panic Hot Hot Pink - Please excuse my terrible attempt at removing the back ground from the pic)

i think i will end up putting another coat of the pink in a week or so, i don't think i lest the colour on the ends long enough.

I'm pretty happy with the results (despite the fact i look like a tool in the pics).

The last colour i dyed my hair was dark brown/ black so I'm pretty impressed i was able to bleach it so light. (Definitely recommend L'Oreal Pre -lightener)

Just got my SOKO ticket

I Just got my ticket to see SOKO at the corner hotel in Melbourne on the 1st of Jan.

Only $34, What a Awesome start to the New Year!!

Although this will be my first trip to Melbourne and Concert alone - i can't wait!!.....

Next Year is looking pretty go so far....... And isn't Soko adorable

I adore this photo,

I think she is quiet possibly the most stylish woman i have ever seen.

I wish i knew more about her,

How old she was, ... where she was from, Who was she....... and where was she going dressed like that.

Could any "vintage" collector or admires tell me how i can go about dating the photo? so that i might have more of a chance of find out more about her?

Also how can i protect the photo against further damage?

Spent this evening looking for Sleeves and Cases for my Laptops

There are some gorgeous laptop cases on Etsy if your looking- but with the exchange rate and the moment the prices are crazy, and the reasonably priced ones didn't post to Australia.

I'm still on the lookout for a "interesting" - ie not bland and boring camera case (for a cannon) -- if anyone has any recommendations ? (Anything but generic black....)

i was reading Cheapskate Chics blog and she had posted about Courtney Love- to which the comments were not so kind to dear Courtney.

Which inspired me to Re-express my love for Courtney ...

In High school i adored her (a little mislead i know, but the was a beautiful element to the train wreak that was Courtney Love) "I Want to be the girl with the most Cake" - was proudly scrawled across my pencil case...., Yes i was a little different at school.... (Painfully Grunge Princess)

You KNow Courtney Rocked the Vintage Slip dress (as a dress) first! - I used to wear my vintage slip and faux fur coat (my Courtney look), i wore it when i snuck into my first concert :) (MagicDirt if your wondering)

Vintage Clothing, Gorgeous Pale Skin and the bright red lips.... I though she was Stunning - although her "issues" where unavoidable.... i ignored that.

Not typical beautiful , but when she got her s@#%t together, she was stunning.

Oh, And did i mention She on the cover of the Latest UK ELLE Mag?

DIY Necklace and HairClips

I had my passport photo taken today, Not my best picture ever. Those of you with Roman noses (or any other prominent features) will understand .,

I always look awful when someone else takes my photo, which is one of the reasons i hate having my photo taken- i don't trust anyone with a camera.

Which sometimes is a little frustrating, I always true to make sure that i take flattering photos of friends and family, it only takes a extra minute (i can't stand those point ad shot photographers).... Anyway...

After the horrible passport photo ordeal, i came home and started on the pile of paperwork i need to fill out (Oh did i mention we are moving to New Zealand for 12mnths?.... i'm a little excited and its all i have been talking about since i found out).

Anyway started the paperwork, but then got a little distracted and decided to attempt a d.i.y necklace .

I had seen a pearl, lace and flower necklace at diva or equip ... or one of those stores, i thought it was cute, but not for $39. So i decided to give it a go myself.

The string of faux pearls cost $3 (at cheap shop, i just tied the ends into a loop and ta-dar necklace.)

The lace was a scrap i had in the bottom of my sewing box cost would have been about .20c

Faux Flower was $10 from Dotti i brought last year (i used this simply because i had it on hand,but you can pick up faux flowers at spotlight for a few dollars). So Mine cost $13.20 , but could easily be made for 5-6$

The Results

i'm pretty happy with the results , it dressed up todays boring outfit :) (jeans and hoodie)

also while i was playing around i made these little hair clips cost all up $2

When i was 13 it was my dream to be a bass player in a all girl punk band....

Now i'm a 25 year old Mother and Housewife, Studying Permaculture.

But deep down - I still want to be a Rock Star.

I can just see myself on stage in this baby with my hot pink Bass.
